Greyhound Options

Greyhound Options, Inc. was formed in 1995 by a small group of volunteers devoted to finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds. We do not operate a kennel, but choose to provide these dogs the stability, care and comfort only possible through a foster home network. Fostering also enables us to truly evaluate the temperament and behavior of each dog in our care, so we can best match adopter with dog. In 2008 we passed the wonderful milestone of placing our 1000th greyhound!

Mary's Kitty Korner

Mary's Kitty Korner is a 501(C)(3) non profit organization. We are a small, volunteer-run organization that shelters homeless kitties through loving foster homes and at our adoption center. The foster homes and shelter provide a safe haven for cats that have been abandoned, abused or left homeless due to their owner's lack of ability to care for them.
All cats and kittens are Vet checked, tested for FIV/FeLV, given their booster shots and spayed /neutered as they come of age.

The program further provides a necessary service to the community by sharing information in regards to the importance of kindness, empathy and responsible pet ownership.

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue

Big Fluffy Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping
giant breed mixed breed dogs in need. We value dogs of all breeds, but we
specialize in what the name says: big, fluffy dogs. We have volunteers in
several states in the South and New England who work to help homeless
big fluffy dogs find a home to call their own. Big Fluffy Dog Rescue works
to save Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards, Newfoundlands and their mixes
from euthanasia.

Double Dog Rescue

The group started out with eight volunteers, and grew into a team of over seventy. DDR does not have a physical shelter, instead they act as the middlemen to facilitate getting the dog into their forever home. The southern volunteers primarily concentrate on pulling dogs to safety, temperament testing, bringing dogs to the vet and into boarding, taking pictures and then putting them on transport. The northern team, uploads the pictures and bios to Adopt-a-Pet, screens applications, calls in vet reference checks, sets up the transport reservations, meets with adopters when possible and transports dogs. Overall, it’s imperative we act quickly as dogs often only have hours before they are euthanized. Unfortunately, many shelters in the south still use a gas chamber to euthanize dogs, which is inhumane and causes a painful death. Again, every dog saved makes room for another left in the shelter.
